COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Impact on Eviction Proceedings

The COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) pandemic and various governmental orders have led tenants and landlords alike to wonder about their rights. There currently are no restrictions from the State of Idaho on evictions. However, effective on March 27, 2020, the federal CARES Act has put a 120-day moratorium on new eviction filings on housing that receives federal funding or has federally backed mortgages.
