Mr. Belnap’s practice emphasizes workers compensation defense, transportation law, business law, and civil litigation.
Mr. Belnap was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 2008. Following his admission to the bar, Mr. Belnap served as law clerk for the Honorable Judge Joel E. Tingey of the 7th Judicial District. Following his clerkship with the court, Mr. Belnap joined the Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he served as a criminal deputy for over five years. As a prosecutor, Mr. Belnap was assigned to general misdemeanors, domestic violence crimes, embezzlements and corporate fraud prosecutions. Mr. Belnap has been first-chair trial counsel for both felony and misdemeanor jury trials.

In 2014, Mr. Belnap started work at Doug Andrus Distributing LLC – a for-hire trucking company based in Southeastern Idaho – where he started as legal counsel and was eventually asked to supervise the safety and human resources departments. It was in this role that Mr. Belnap realized how much he enjoys collaborating with others to solve problems. Mr. Belnap joined the firm in May of 2016 and will continue to serve in his capacity as general counsel and vice president of safety and human resources at Doug Andrus Distributing LLC.
Prior to his law school attendance, Mr. Belnap graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Idaho State University. He received an Associates Degree from Ricks College (now known as BYU-Idaho).

Mr. Belnap grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Skyline High School. Mr. Belnap and his wife, the former Katrina (Katie) Lundquist, have two sons. Mr. Belnap enjoys writing music, fitness activities, and spending time with his family.
